Cool

That white "PVC" pipe is actually an inline 3 inc 135 cfm blower which just mounts in the stock intake hole on the left fender. It just pulls in cool air from the fender well and blows it into the engine compartment. I have about about 2600 miles on this setup so far. The 4 inch model works even better and they cost around $22.00 from a marine supplier.

I would have bet you spent at least 6 bucks on that.

Went to home depot and got the 4" tin tubing for $14, a 90 degree 3" dia. rubber elbow, $8, and a few large hose clamps, $2.

I shoved the elbow into the fender hole, adapted the tin (the aluminum looked to flimsy). and clamped JL bigmouth to the other end of the elbow and went to town. I thought I noticed a difference, (you know the kind where you think you can notice the 5 hp gain) So I went to the track and went 13.3s@103-104. Thinking I lost power (previous trip to the track netted 13.1s@104.6) I took it off.

Thats when I started going mid 13.4s@102. So I dial in a money race, at 13.43, my opponent dials in a 11.17. I ran my 13.435 to his 11.34, but I cut a .490 light.

It was a low overcast day with a slight drizzle (the kind that gives everyone headaches) with a slight headwind, and low barometric pressure. There went my school book money.

Talk about a bad track day.
