Arizona (Phoenix) Dyno Day
All Arizona L's (and other Ford products),
I have the line on a shop in Tempe that does dyno days for car clubs and groups. It's a race car shop and with racing season just kicking off again they are fairly busy but with enough notice we can schedule a Saturday and "rent" their dyno for $120/hr. It is a Dynojet and they have the capability to do A/F readings during a pull. If we rent it for 4 hours on a Saturday and we get ten vehicles it works out to about $50 a vehicle (this compares to other places in Phoenix/Tempe which said they would charge anywhere from $60/pull to get this...$125/pull). This pricing includes dyno pulls to your heart's content. I am heading there tomorrow morning for three pulls (which he is charging me $65 bucks for) on my stock '01 L so I can see what the shop looks like and check out which Saturdays work for Chris (the owner). I'll keep you posted but if you're interested reply back to me with Saturdays that might work for you (figure three or four weeks out from this weekend).

Don,
Burn...schmurn, just put it on and let 'er rip! I figure we won't get in within the next 2-3 weeks so figure mid-November. I'll let you know what the pig pulls tomorrow with no mods...after that, the floodgates are open and the first one to 400rwhp wins!
Dan
Besides...I can't have a truck that has less horsepower at the back wheel than the turbo 'Busa! NLR makes a race kit that will go from 6 lbs. to 35 lbs. and give me about 470rwhp and 300 ft. lbs. on the high end. 7 second quarters and 150 mph wheelies here I come!

Well, my 2000 is up for sale, but I do have a brand new GT that I wouldn't mind Dynoing.
If you do this in the spring as well, the 2002 should be in by then!
Thanks for the heads up, I will keep an eye out for an update as to when...?!
Thanks,
Nick
