Question Borla Catback?

I won a drawing at the SVTOntrack event last weekend. A 50% off gift certificate for any factory direct Borla product. Their catback systen for the L looks kick a$$. The tips are super sweeeet! It's $629.00 and with the discount I get it for $315.00. Does anyone have this system? How do you like it? How does it sound? I don't remember ever hearing anyone picking up any HP from a catback so I don't know if I even want it. If I get the Borla system I will sell my BABOLT tips (they are used and on my truck now) at a good price. If someone wants the gift certificate (and I decide I don't) I will sell it for $150.00. Please do not post here if you want to buy it! E-mail me at JJordan@PICOFab.com

Jerry

I think you can get them from summit or Jegs for about $400.

Kyle (2_fast4u is he screen name) had the borla system and didn't like it on his L at all. Said it sounded a little better then stock, but the ***-o-meter test felt a little power loss.

I had no power loss here, but it does sound great when I mash the go pedal. If I remember correctly, I only paid slightly over $300 for it online!

If your prices are correct I didn't win anything. Oh well if I'm ever out somewhere and can't find any hockey tickets I could use the gift certificate!

$401.69 at Summitt racing. Boy I knew something was wrong when I won this. I've never won anything in my life...except races!

I went back to stock because I am experimenting with sound and HP loss. I never had clear data that I was losing power, but I went to the track two weeks ago and ran a 13.10 and then the next day I removed the borla and went back to the track the following week and ran a 13.007 with the same mods. I just want some change in my exhaust. Next up------Bassani!!!!

I went from stock to flowmaster duals to borla catback. I like the borla best. I didn't lose anything on the bottom end and picked up some extra kick at the top. Fuel mileage went up 1.5 mpg in town also.
I haven't been on a long trip yet; but, I ordered one for a friend also, and he claims to have gotten nearly 400 miles to a tank of fuel on a drive to PA and back. I was getting 240 miles to a tank around town and went up to 275-280. I drove to Raleigh and back with the flowmasters on and turned 305 with some city driving thrown in. If you add just the 40mpg I gained for regular driving (Heavy Foot), 400 miles sounds posible to me. You'd have to milk it out though.
