I've had an IRC chat room open for the past 4 years. It's on the Undernet server, and the room is #Lightning. I used to list that information in the NLOC newsletters back when I had the club. It never really took off, but there is some chat from time to time. Feel free to come on in.

 

I couldn't find any IRC channels for the lightning. The grandprix channel is very busy and a great source of information. We used to be on undernet/efnet, but moved it because of all the splits, hacks, etc etc. This server is private.

 

If anybody is intersted in this and isn't quite sure how to get there e-mail me at sober509@yahoo.com I'll try to get you pointed in the right direction. Would be a good thing if it took off, I know there is a chat room here but some don't prefer that type.

There will be people there in good time, just keep coming back and before you know it will have 5-10 regulars. If someone doesn't reply, they're probably at work and busy or something.
