Talking Cheap 2/2 drop kit

Done a little research on the FRPP drop kit ($175 from Ford) mentioned over on NLOC. It's made by Ground Force and spec'ed as a 2/2 drop. Sent them an email and here's their response:

Just the front coils Part Number 1036. Retail $90.00 Complete Kit 9902,
$150.00, includes coils, shackles. SVT approved!

GFS

For $90 you can drop the front 2" if you already have the 2" shackles (like I'm soon to have).

The Hotchkis 1" drop springs from Summit are $159. Pick your poison.

What does "SVT approved/approved by Ford racing" mean (see http://nloc.org/ubb/Forum2/HTML/003019.html ) Just wondering.

It's the same FRPP kit.

I called Ground Force, and all I got was a answering machine.

Thanks for the info, we will see if they get back to me.

CornerCarver, did you end up installing the 2" groundforce springs? If so, how do like them? Cornering? Do they feel mushy??

Thanks,

Al

Remember your stock springs have a 1in Drop already, You may only get 1 more in out of a 2in spring made for a F150!!!

2/2 drop

I've never dropped a vehicle. I know it will need to be realigned. Does it also alter alignment specs and if so where /how do u get new specs?

You will need to realign it, and most likely need a cam bolt kit for it...

Nope, haven't installed front springs yet. I'm "probably" gonna run with the Hotchkis 1" springs after seeing how the AIM 2" drop shackles changed the stance. I want a little more rake than I have now. I think the 2" drop would be alittle too much while still trying to use the Bilsteins. Now all I need is a little free time but this is the wrong time of the year for that.
