arrgg!!! loteck pod :(

I had all my guages ready to go and the freindly postman brought my pod this morning but

I test fit the pod and it did not fit very well at near the bottom where it meats the dash but i figured i would file down the lower most corner and it would probably be liveable.

After seeing how poorly the pod fit i decided to see how well the guages fit in the holes. I put the first two in and they seemed to fit real good, nice and snug. I slid the last guage in the bottom hold and as soon as I pushed it in the pod split right at the base of the guage.

I am very unhappy with the quality of this thing and i will return it monday. Any other suggestions??????

Bob

PS. My stereo is installed and its rather overbearing to say the least (bass only at 6 of 15)

I have not got a good shot of the head unit because of my crappy camera. (its a alpine cda - 7875)

Thumbs down

About a year ago, Lotek came out with a bad bunch of pods. They didn't fit well and looked like crap. Alot of Lightning and F150'ers returned them and raised hell. Including myself. They later came out with some better fit ones and look pretty decent. Most likely you got the first generation gauge pod. I'd return them and have them replaced.

Unhappy Bob!!!

I do have to say... I suggested you not to get the Lotek pod and to go with the Autometer piece. My Autometer pod fits perfect, the only thing I had to do was paint it... Gwt your money back and get the autometer one for a few more $$$. You end up getting a better product IMHO.

PS The stereo stuff looks great....
