Finally bought a Lightning!!!!!!
Took my 99 XLT in today for some service, and I saw a red 99 Lightning over in the used car side of the lot when I pulled in. I dropped off the XLT for the service and walked over and started "kicking the tires" on the Lightning. Well, to make a long stort short, I drove it home!!!!
It is a 99, 13,400 miles!!! Very clean. I washed, claybarred, and waxed it this afternoon, and did not notice any signs of previous damage. I ran a Carfax on the VIN from the dealership, and it came up 100% clean.
The dealership is including 2 new front tires. It has new Toyo Proxes on the rear, and the original F1's on the front. I am also taking the trailer hitch off my XLT and putting in on the L so I can still tow my boat.
I don't think it is mod'd much. I know it has a K&N filter on it, but everything else looks stock. It is quick!!!! You gotta love that whine when the supercharger gets spooled up!!!!
