New FRPP Lowering Kit
Not sure if this has been covered but I just called Tommie Vaughn Motors in Houston asking for a price on the '01 Bilstiens and Joel, the man helping me started telling me about the new FRPP kit that just came out for the 99-01's Harley Davidson and Lightning. The Kit is supposed to drop the truck 30mm, i think that is like 1 1/8" all around and list for 175.00 It includes front springs and rear shackles and the part number is M-3000-L. I think i might just pick up this kit this weekend, they are supposed to have 6 in stock.
Thanks for the info. If you do wind up getting one, holler at me...I'd love to check it out before, during, or after the install.
BTW...Are you a fish, or do you live in CS and recently purchased a Lightning? Just curious...

Cool. I haven't seen you around, but that could be because I graduated in August and am living in Navasota, now. I am always on Navarro street, though...so if you see me, give me the finger or something.
If you're gonna get your kit any day other than Saturday and don't mind someone looking over your shoulder while you install it, email me at duckag01@netscape.net and let me know. I'll be huddled around the tv all day during college football, but other than that, I have crap to do.

LightningJMP:
I was wondering if you installed them yet. If not, I wouldn't mind looking over your shoulder either. I am thinking of getting my 2001 dropped but I like to see someone else do it first before I attempt it.
DUCK01:
Are you the owner of the black L that use park on University Oaks all the time? I use to allways see a black one there before Fall semester started.

Nope...that wasn't me. I lived on Dominik last Fall and Spring, but usually parked in the back. After that, I lived on Pintail (off Navarro, over by A&M Consol) for two months until I graduated. I've seen the one you're talking about on UO, though. It's in that lot behind the Tap a lot.
