Talking Thanks again JL you da man!!!!!!!

I normally run in Mobile at a 600' track and all my numbers get laughed at because there so bogus, I usually run with no spare and the hitch removed but I spin just a little off the line. First thing this morning I put my hitch and my spare back on cleaned the ol Lightning up real good and mixed up the fuel. I finally went on over to Gulfport Ms. and ran the 1/4. It was clear and 55 degrees, perfect for my first time. When I staged I went around the water the best I could and did a real short burn, then I backed up and did a quick jump, It felt real good. Staging lights lit up my heart quit beating and I saw yellow at the third bulb, just a slight chirp from the F1's and well here's the numbers
r/t .663
60' 1.940
1/4 13.127
mph 104.89
Thanks to JL and his chip, a stock air box and a K&N drop in thats all I had. I am very pleased.
Later I ran 2 more passes with a 13.140@104.89mph and a 13.146@105.14mph.

I guess you hate me Ivan? I didn't show up Tuesday or Wed. I feel HORRIBLE, but I have a legitimate excuse so forgive me (home selling).

Anyhoo, I did go to Foley today to try and round up my buddies but they all couldn't go tonight. How bout we go to Atmore this Sunday and then Gulfport again Wed.? I'd like to see how the stock beast does compared to your times.

BTW, I hear Mobile is SUCKING lately for hooking and Atmore and Holt RULE on the launch!

Later buddy...

How ya feel about Atmore on a Sunday? The only reason I say this is because it's a "true" 1/8 and their track has been great for launching lately, plus you can run a lot of runs easier, and not have to worry about only getting in 2 or 3 (like Holt has been). It's test & tune ALL day.

Here's the deal w/ 'em though, they don't turn on the overhead lights on Sundays so it's ALL day running (which is cool). So you get there around noon and then you have about 6 hours to play. I think it's only $7 or $10 to run, as well (bring a helmet).

Wish I could but I have to work this weekend. Next Sun. would be good for me though what do think about that? The cool air and the sun on the track would make it nice for launching out. Maybe John will have his new L by then and it will give me time to get some others to go also.
