I believe you have to have a family member that works for Ford. You can get one like I did under the X-plan by joining the EAA. It's only 1000 more than A-plan. www.eaa.org

Thanks. The X is still a good deal, but you never know until you ask. Can't order from Treadwell Ford in Mobile until Nov. 15th. But I will be there :-)

Thumbs up

You can go to work for Ford Motor Company or you can get in on the D-Plan by working for a Ford Dealer. But you got to be working there for at least 6 months.
The A-plan is for Ford Motor Company employees and there family.
The Z plan is for Ford Motor company retired employees.
The X plan is for companys that Ford does business with and other large companys and organizations.

x-plan is EXACTLY 4% over A-plan which is printed right on the invoice (it is not the invoice price)

In general, x-plan comes out to roughly 1% under invoice.

a-plan is calculated by taking a bunch of holdback and such off the invoice and then using some other factors.....but just trust me that x-plan is a percent or so under invoice plus there are sometimes special x-plan only rebates on top of that.

When I was speaking to the sales guy about A-Plan, he said that he's working on becoming 'Blue Oval Certified'. That will give him A-Plan. He said he'd been there a little over a year, and that you really have to know your stuff to pass certification.

My wife works for Ford Credit. I just bought my Lightning less than 2 weeks ago. The others are right about the percentages. My A plan price was $27,682. The wife had to call in a few favors to get the dealers to consider A plan.
