line converters behind factory radio
I have a very similiar set-up. Everything but HU. I'm dying to put the stuff in my truck. I guess i'll just secure the 2 LOC's to the HU chassis with some good tape. Their is a few of us on this message board that are very eager to find out which wires to cut on the high level output. I hope the 97-98 premium stereo (with 6 changer behind the seat) has the same wiring as our 99-01 premium stereo. I guess the search continues.

Behind, above, or over to the side. Once you pull out the radio, there is plenty of room back there for the line converters.

I was gonna do my own amp instal so I went to Radio shack and bought all the stuff I needed about $70. Then I went to a stereo car shop to get line converters and they said they'd do the install and parts including the line converters for $80.00. I let them do it.

Thanks for the info, I'll probably secure it to the HU chassis with some good tape.
Now all I need to find out is what color wire to splice into on the high level output.

HELP US OUT!!
Can anyone help out Kid2001 and I with the line level converter install?? What color wires (L +/-, and R+/-) are needed to be cut and spliced into the LLC? HELP WOULD GREATLY BE APPRECIATED!!
I think that the reason that the wires on the speakers do not match the plug is because of the factory amp. I ran into the same problem. I finally had to get some help from a local shop.
