LIGHTNING and AMERICAN FLAG picture. how's this look?
Hi all,
I wanted to share a pic of my newest mod, I just had it put on today. Won't make me any faster, but might make me stand out a little from all the other Red L's. From the front of the truck you can look right through the glass and can't even see the flag, but from behind you see the flag waving. sorry the truck is so dirty, I didn't have time to wash it before the photo op (only have an hour for lunch). gotta run.
see you guys at E-town.

chris

I've seen that running around here also. Looks sharp. How would I go about getting it done. Window tint place, detail, or is it just a stick on you buy off the web?
nice touch Chris!
question for ya sir; why did you decide to go with the other chip in lieu of keeping what you had?? Curious as i'm in the research mode as to which tuner to go with. also, would you consider helping me with possible lower pulley install??
btw: i'm the one w/ the white lightning that had that knocking noise in july; also, the one that your peer, bruce sharp, knows.
if you'd like you can call me here at work @ 752-2970.
thx

tell bruce i'm still planning on going out to see his mach1.

a local window tint accessory type place installed it for me, they also offer one that has an eagle on the right hand side window with the same flag in the background. It is like installing window tint except that it goes outside of the glass instead of inside. I'm sure that any place in your area that does auto customizing like window tint and or vinyl decals etc would be able to get and install them for you.

P.S. If you can't find it locally and really want it, you could try giving this place that did mine a call, they would probably sell you one, you'd just have to install it (didn't look too hard) or have a tint shop do it for you. anyway, here is their website link:

They are $85 at J.C. Whitney
I installed mine a couple months ago. They are made by Glass Scapes http://www.glasscapes.com/ It took me about 30 minutes to cut out the shapes and then install. Mine is also installed over the black trim that is above and below the back window which looks better IMO. It was really east to install and is made of 3M Scotch Print. I just ordered two more sheets of ScotchPrint for my extended cab side windows. The material allows you to see out because it has tiny perforations
here's another pic with a little ole mustang
here's another pic inside next to a supercharged 2000 Saleen.

Yes, you can do the decal over top of the trim around the sliding glass, and it does look good, another guy at my shop got his first and did it that way.
I didn't want that for two reasons,
1. I was afraid that if/when I decide to remove the decal, the sun might have faded the trim panels in the little dots (the decal is sortof perferated with small holes) and leave the dotted pattern on the truck.
2. I was afraid that if/when I decide to remove the decal, it will NOT BE FUN trying to scrape the film off of that black trim without scratching the finish. I don't think that after a few months (or years for that matter) that it is just going to peel off ESPECIALLY given the fact that it is perforated!
So I chose to do only the glass portions so it can be removed easily at some point in the future if so desired without causing harm to the truck.
