The drivetrain takes a specific amount of HP to turn...not a fixed percentage of the total hp.

Just tell them what your best time of the night is!! Who cares if your making 1000hp at the engine or 600hp at the rwhp and only running 13.5. Its all just a matter of excuses to me. If you ran a 12.0 last week but are only running 13.0 tonight, its still just a lot of crying!! Lets go race, I think we all are getting a little bit of cabin fever.

So to answer the original question, who cares, make your mods, race it and see how fast it is, instead of bench racing. On the other hand, if they have no idea what 12.0 sec run is, just tell them you make tons more horsepower than a corvette, they probably won't believe you anyway!!

Finally an interesting topic!

I Dynoed my truck at Paul's High Performance. 395 peakRWHP no NOS. 495 peak RWHP on the bottle. Truck ran best no bottle 12.60. On the bottle 11.84. At 4300 lbs.

The trans losses are lower then usual for an Automatic.

But there are other issues to address:

1) Wind resistance on the top end of the track. I think the only vehicle less aerodynamic is a cab over Mack truck.

2) Power under the peak or average HP/Torque. As you can see by my Dyno results I am by far not the leader but if you figure accross the entire RPM range.....

3) Suspension. Getting the truck to hook and leave. LOW 60' TIMES. My best was a 1.63.

Is this with the "top-secret" setup, or just the usual bolt-ons.

And also, your suspension. How is it setup? Drag race only, or can it be street driven? Inquiring minds want to know.

It was with the old set up not the "top secret" one.

The suspension was drag shocks (front and rear), bottom leaf removed, no sway bars, two extra spring clips in front half of leaf springs and 12.5x28x15 Goodyear Drag Slicks (12 psi).
