Thumbs up Just dropped it 2/2

Today I dropped my truck using Belltech 2" springs and Belltech 2" shackles. The combination of the progressive springs and the Bilstien shocks seems to be perfect. The ride is very stiff but not harsh.1/2" off the bumpstops works well. The look is vastly improved. The truck handles great and has less understeer. This is a great mod for around $200.00.It turned out much better than anticipated.

i was thinking of doing the same thing myself but the local shop wanted 300 something for parts and 400 something for labor. I take it you installed everything yourself, how hard was it? Did you install a camber kit as well?

NBS,
Did the 2/2 drop level out the truck or does it still sit tail high like stock?

If you're planning on buying any Belltech products, make sure to shop around. I know what dealers get them for (I've got a "hookup" that NozeBleed used), and you should never pay more than $200.00 for springs/shackles for an L. Installation takes about an hour, so figure at most $75.00 for labor. Belltech has a massive markup on springs and the like.

Just for comparison, I paid $175.00 for brand new Belltech springs/shackles/4 shocks...and that included installation. Trust me, shop around for prices. E-mail me for more info.

I have to admit,I had the advantage of a lift through a buddy. The install is not hard.Shackles are a snap.

the truck still has the rake that makes it look aggressive, but it looks more"street" now.

rscoleman got me the hook-up on the springs.Got a good deal.

TampaSVT's truck was the final deciding factor, just not as low.I drive mine more than he does and less alignment issues if you're not scraping low.

Rich, the spring/shock combo works great. The Belltechs are very good.I think you'd have problems with this Bilstein shock as low as you are though. You might have to find a shorter Bilstein.

I'll try to get some pics this weekend. It looks so cool.
