Thumbs up Fourty-Nine is a Go!

didn't see a thread about this, but Motor Trend reported that the 49 concept has been given a green light for production, whatever that means. i'm sure it will be toned down, to fit in the 35k range, but it sure looks sweet, or maybe i'm getting old or something

I love that car. I hope they don't screw it up if it really gets built. They did pretty good with the new T-Bird from concept to production. I hope they do this one justice in the power department.

Thumbs up

If I got one I would drop in a 380HP jag engine or a 01 L engine. Sleeper! And tent the windows black. But what is going to be the stock engine? Links to specs anyone?

Most likely, you'll pull up to the light next to the first one you see on the road and she'll be there....

Challenging you to a race. Trying to pi$$ you off by holding up two fingers and showing you how small your manhood is, or something

I wonder if it has the LS/Tbird 4.0 V8? Probably the same one as the new Mustang will get.

My question was answered before I could ask it.

The Jag's 4.0 and the 3.9 use the same block, I'm sure the SC can be transfered. 'Might have to change the manifold.

I think it's basically a hardtop T-bird. The running gear is pretty much the same.
