New best time!!

Just got back from the Truckin' Nationals out here at Firebird Raceway, ran some pretty good times considering it was about 90*F here today!Best of 12.99 @ 105MPH,1.91 60'.Mods are PSP lower pulley/PSP 4-way chip/JL Stage II Ram Air/Magnaflow.Ran the race program of the chip with VP Fuels 100 octane.Took Sal's advice and swapped my F-1's to the opposite side and they hooked much better! How much better 60' times do you guys think I could get with some ET streets?THX Sal & JL!!!-Dave.

Congrats! As Long as your program is putting out the power i would say with et streets you should get low 1.8's to high 1.7's welcome to the 12 second club! JL

Thx for your input JL!Do you recommend running tubes in the ET streets or not?I'm getting a pair mounted on ARE 16x10's,26 x 11.5's.Already have tubes in'em.What kind of pressure should I run?THX AGAIN!-Dave.

Looks like we are running the same setup, so I guess I can say "hello 12's!" Everyone says look for a reduction of 3/10's to 5/10's with a set of ET's. I can answer your question better after I run with my ET's

On an L with basic mods i can tell you the et streets are worth around a 10th. Now if you have a tourqe converter, juice or extreme pully set ups i can see them helping more .

Hey Don,I called Sal re: a reburn 'caus I was'nt overly impressed with the 13.9's.When he asked for the info on the back of my chip I discovered it was'nt plugged in!Prolly never has been since I've had the truck!I plugged it in,removed sway bar/spare tire and switched the F-1's to the opposite side[per Sal's instruction]Ran in the race program w/100 octane & let 'er rip!The 12.99 was my 1st run of the day, about 11:30 A.M. @ about 85*F.Had 3 13.0-13-1's after that ,but my 60' times were all in the 1.91-1.94 range.Ran again at about 2:45 P.M. @ about 95*F and could'nt hook up.2.33 60',but still rann 13.33@104.56.I can't wait to get out to the track some nite with some 60*F weather & some ET Streets!TTL.-Dave.P.s. they had some lil' ricers out there doing 9.2's-9.4's!That's flyin'!

why the tire swap? Those are great 60' times. Also what does the front swaybay weigh & is it hard take out?

Yoda,Sal advised me on the tire swap & it works.I dont know if it has something to do with the unidirectioal tread pattern or what?Sway bar weighs about 25-30 lbs,and aids greatly with weight transfer.Prolly part of the reason the 60'ers improved so much.only take about 15 min to take off.Others have left theirs off permanently, but handling feels pretty loose without it.

Dave, way to go!!! Swaping the tires makes the thread pattern act more like a scoop on dry pavement. The stock direction is designed to channel water which means the tread should slice through what it's contacting. Swap the rears and they bite more.
