I didn't know that the 02's were out. I have filled out the paper work, all up to the ordering form for my 2002. I was told at the Treadwell Ford dealership in Mobile, that I couldn't order my lightning until Feb, or March. But I am promised a 2.9% rate when I order. I definately will have to say silver.

 

They're not out yet. You can order one from the dealerships that are taking orders this early, but don't expect delivery until early next year.

 

Oh, okay, I thought that I was getting shafted with everyone posting about 02s. Yeah, I already have everything ordered. The sales person that I talked to told me that I could fill out some information that day (two mondays ago) and he would give me a 2.9% rate. I have never really seen a 01 up close. I know that I will love it though.

 

Hey its great to see someone else in AL has good taste. I got my L off the showroom floor at Treadwell. Be sure and meet Christene, the accessory sales manager. She will take care of you for bed covers and lots more. When you get your L if you ever need any service ask for Lester he will take care of you and he's a real people type person. My tension pulley went out on my truck at 3000 miles and he ordered me one, got it in 2 days and let me take it home and put it on myself. Thats great warranty service.

 

Thanks for the names. What year and color is your lightning? I saw a 99 or 00 last night it looked really good. In mobile I know that we have 1 white with a lightning bolt across the back class (looks really good), a black one, and a silver one. That is all the ones that I have seen. I really want to see one of the guys and see if they will take me for a ride, pretty sad that I haven't been in one. I know that they sound really, really awesome, and the looks and power speak for themselves.

That would be great. Do you run down there often? I drive a completely stock 00GT so I don't really take my car down there. The GT will be the daily driver so I can keep the miles down on the Lightning. What time does the meet start? Or what time would you be down there?

 

I think the meet starts a 9 but I will probably wait until around 11 to go so things will have dryed out some. I usually go every Tues night for test and tune unless I have to work. I park up pretty close to the fence right by the track. Look for me or shoot me an email and we'll meet at the Mall and go for a ride
