Talking First Track Run....IM IMPRESSED!!

Took my L to the track for the first time last night.

Ran a best of 13.89 @ 98.9 I am VERY pleased with this performance as the track is at 2700ft altitude!

Truck was run in full street trim, with 1/2 tank of gas, and stock pressure in tires. About 65degrees outside, no wind.

I could not get traction to save my life. Mustered a best 60ft of 2.135 with all the others in the 2.4 range. Definetly time for some truck traks and some ET Streets.

Oh yeah, only mods on the truck are filter, flip-chip and 2000miles on odo. Here's the timeslip-

2.135
5.896
8.965
80.629
11.549
13.894
98.925

Thats great

Great times, how much air did you have in the F1's. Were you stalling it up or Flashing it from an idle off the line?

I tried both...flashing and just off-idle.
I didnt have a guage with me. This was kind of a spur of the moment deal. Everyone I was going to go with backed out so I just went by myself

I let a little air out of the rears, but It didnt do anything.

My best run was accomplished by just power braking it just a little. Then releasing the brakes and getting on it a little agressivley. I spun the tires, but it seemed to work ok.

I'll have somethign a lot stickier before next time. =)

Dale-01L,

That's a pretty good run for LACR. The starting line there is probably the best one in all So. Cal. I've run 2.03-2.04 60' times on F1's there.

I also ran my Truck-Traks on those runs. My best ET there is a 13.91 with a Pro-M and Swanson Chip. Now that I have a lower pulley and ET Streets, I've got to go back and try again.

From what Ive heard from talking to others, Bakersfield has a better starting pad. I honestly have no idea, as Ive never been to that track.

I intend on going back wednesday night to play around again, but I will definetly be out there next Friday night as well. I ordered up some M/T ET Streets, so hoepfully I can get a better run out of the thing. I think i has more in it with a decent launch.

BTW- I see a set of Truck Traks in my future too

Dale-01L, My experience with Bakersfield indicates different.

The day that i was there, was the hottest day of the year there. It was 106 degrees at 5:00 in the afternoon. The track temp was over 130 degrees.

My truck never chirps the tires on the 1-2 shift. I got about 10 of rubber on that shift, after spinning hard on launch.

The air is definitely better, so in yourun in similar temps, you would expevt to p/u a lot.

I'd like to try the track sometime when the track is cooler.
