Anyone have problems with chip/pully mods and emissions testing?
We have the dyno test here, and wanted to make sure that they are not having any emissions testing problems.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I have Mass Air which is also controlled via a Chip.
I was concerned that the chip may effect the emissions but I later found out its all in the tuning of chip.
Sal of PSP made my chip and I when I went through Emissions with the chip in place, I ran cleaner than the original speed Density set up.
My concern is that you get a chip that does not set off the CE light, or fail to click the Fuel pump at start after a sec.
As for the pulleys, the air pump's job is to pump air to the cats and speed up the burn of fuel , I have March pulleys and though they may have slowed the airflow alittle, they did not cut if off, so I passed with out a problem.
Make sure your truck is up to tempature (Cats hot) thats would be my only concern, if the truck is cool, the computer may cause the fuel to go alittle rich to control the idle and warm up the engine like it does during a cold start.
