Thumbs up New deal completed....Silver Streak is here

Said goodbye to the 99, signed papers, and took delivery on the 01 tonight.

Initial thoughts..

* like the umph of the 3:73's at lower rpm throttle stabs
* love the feel of the Bilsteins.
* dont care for the ashtray/change dish design one bit.
* will most certainly miss the wallet 'cubby' under the gearshift lever
* Driver's side OH SH*T handle must go (add gauges)
* like the double decker visors

sorry for the grainy images...

Wow, that is a nice truck. What dealership did you buy it from? Hope you enjoy your new toy.

Nice looking truck.

Hope it stops raining sometime soon.

I may go and look at your old truck this weekend with the wife. and see what they want for it.

Did you have a problem with Tom Wood on 96th & Keystone, and that is why you went the 40 miles?

Speedy,

What's up with the blurred face. Did you think that BIG ***** eatin'
grin you must have on your face was a little too much for us. Congratulations on your new ride. Now start Moddin'.

Alright I know you will love the new ride and of course the color. The thing that i get a chuckle out of is, when my truck is dirty....people STILL tell me how good it looks! That NEVER happened with my black truck! I agree with all you said about the new and improved Lightning. I could REALLY tell the difference with the new shocks and recommend any and all 99/00 owners to invest in a set

Congrats on the new L Speedy! It must have been one hard deal to make cause I noticed you have no expression on your face in the pic above.

Hey Bob,

Unless they've changed it from the 2000's, just pull that little ashtray out of there and throw it in the trash. You'll have a second cup holder. Am I wrong, has it changed?

Sorry, but unfortunately you can't order a '99 cupholder/ashtray. Tried that last year, and they have gone the way of the Dodo. Got to find it at the wreckers. They are a direct swap, however.
