Update on Blown Motor

As some of you know, I blew my motor in Bowling Green at the NMRA World Finals. I had just gotten the truck back hours earlier from the body shop after putting the truck on its side. The motor was pulled out and it was concluded that the motor was damaged as a result of the wreck. My insurance company is having to buy me a brand new motor !! The engine did not get enough oil from being on its side damaging 4 rods, bearings, crank, and even the block. I hope to have it back real soon!! Its time for my luck to change, it seems like there is a big black cloud hovering over me. Take Care-Neil

just remember, its not the **** that happens in life, its how you respond to it that makes all the difference. just when you think it cant get worse, it usually does. the phrase ,, that when life serves you lemons,,,,,, make lemonade, is true i think. just keep plugging and smiling and eventually it turns around,,,,,,,,,,,, al

I think everyone has one of those black clouds chase them around at least a couple of times during there life.

My last black cloud moment (or was that a year) was with a Buick GN.

Lightning Al is right , eventually it'll come your way.

Thumbs up

Good luck Neil. I'm glad everything is working out for you. I really felt bad for you at B.G.

That's what happens when these insurance companies try to get off cheap. Your truck should probably have been a total. Now they spend who knows how much and raise our rates.

BTW, glad to hear that they are going to fix it.

red, you need to stop modding that thing! Maybe we can head up to B.G. on the 20th with juicemac? I should get my truck early next week. They're working on it as I type. I hope they don't forget that oil galley plug! They didn't pull the cab off. I can start to sleep better now that I know it won't do a clonetek and fall off the lift!

Hang in there, it seems like things are looking better for you already. Maybe the new motor will be tighter and faster, you never know.
