I'm looking into getting one loaded with the 6000 series 10" woofers. I have to special order it and I don't want to shell out before I can actually hear them, nobody stocks them that I can find in Portland Or. gimme the lowdown guys, 1 to 10 . I found one for 270.00 but special order . Anyone know a website that sells them or dealer in Port, OR??

You can get them on Ebay for $250 or $200 without the subs.

Hey KlutzEnhiemer,

I'm also in Portland (Beaverton), as are a bunch of Lightning owners. http://communities.msn.com/PortlandLightning/

The best place I found for Thunderforms, as far as price is concerned, is www.velocityaudio.com

Some of us are heading to PIR next wednesday for a little 1/4 mile action. You should come hang out with us.

Thumbs up Thunderform

I love mine; sounds great, nice deep base, and it looks great.
I wouldn't go any other way.

Hey thanx for the input guys! and Bob no you cant keep the changer (DOH), at least not behind the seat. also I put an mtx amp under the pass seat and kept the stock radio added some infinity kappa's in the factory holes and it sounded horrible, got a new single disc head unit, got rid of the changer... viola! sounds great. now for the subs.

The MTX Thunderform was definatly my #1 choice. Luckily I got a used one at Circuit City for $100.

For now, I am running my amp and subs off the rear channels. I moved the factory CD changer to a console in the front floor board, and still use the stock HU and front speakers. It sounds pretty good for now. Eventually I plan on upgrading everything, but I only have about $350 invested in the system I have now.

Bob:

I still have the stock head unit and changer(relocated).

Sounds great when combined with an amp and a couple of JL Audio subs.

Just ask NozeBleedSpeed....

Bob -

You can mount a single subwoofer behind the drivers seat, or, you can put in the full box and relocate the changer under the seat.

TampaSVT is running the thunderforms with JL subs.Any more bass than that, and you'll need to put it in a old Impala with gold wheels.........

Rich is also running the stock head.
