boost switch?

what exactly does disconnecting this do? (dumb question I know)
I don't race mine yet but any free mod sounds good to me. I just don't want to loose any reliability or damage anything. do you guys just remove the lead when your racing?

By dissconnecting the boost silinoid, the computer can not dumb boost on you when you hit the rev limiter.

The fart sound is the computer knocking off 4 cylenders on the shift. Ford/SVT did this to help prolong transmision life by haveing less torque being created while it was shifting. Any good chip will fix that problem. We have been through 2 transmisions so far, and on our 3rd. The stock one blew out the 1-2 clutch pack, the 2nd one wasn't right from the fractory, and the 3rd one is holding strong so far. But we also make alot of power too.
