Unhappy Found the boost clip, but I'm having a ball trying to release it, HELP

Hey, I found the boost clip, but I am now having a heck of a time removing it. I don't want to break it off. Someone posted that all you have to do is lift it with your index finger and remove it. I guess their hands were smaller than mine, or I might be trying to lift up the wrong end. I sure would appreciate someone breaking this down to me, thanks.............Phatford

Maybe you should think about ordering the Boost Dump By-pass Kit from JDM. I like the fact that you don't have to mess with the plug, and trying to remember if its plugged in or not! Also it took about five minutes to install.

There is a clip at the top of the connector that just needs to be slightly raised before you pulll back on the connector

I know the clip is on top, but which side do I pull-up on, the supercharger side, or the driver side of the clip to release. And, how much is that bypass gonna run me. thanks..............Phatford

Lightbulb

If I remember right you just slip your index finger under it and your thumb on top(on the raised area) and sqeeze together and pull and it releases.

Stick a flat blade screwdriver under the clip. Barley push it up, not hard, while pushing it off. I leave mine unplugged.

LOL

Read the PLUG! My '01 says "PRESS" on the lever. Simply press down and it slides OFF, no screw drivers, lifting gently, nada. Squeeze and pull.

You can press the back, which lifts the front. Kind of like one of those lever thingies. However, mine was tight and I couldn't get it to work the first time. Screwdriver worked for me. However, I've been known to use the wrong tool for the job more than once. Heck, I take my lugnuts off with pliers.
