Andrew, just relax. You'll get plenty of wear on the tires, even if you light em up some.Use good paint care products.Change your oil yourself.Keep an eye on the fluids.Dodge potholes, and never sit in the seat with dirty clothes or a screwdriver in your back pocket.

You're gonna let this wonderful truck give you an ulcer.

Mt tires are holding up just fine, except for the nail I got the other week.
I do big burnouts with mine, and that is no accident.

If it wasn't for the nail I would be able to get about 30,000 out of them. I still have 1/3 tread left and I have over 20,000 miles on my truck

Thumbs up

I got 24 thousand out of mine on my 2000L and I still had about 1/5 thread left.
I also did MANY intentional and some non-intentional Burnouts. Plus my trips to the track.
So don't worry about it. Plus the FASTER you wear them out the faster you can get 20" wheels & Tires.

It depends on how many burnouts you do on them hehe. But checkout here for the best prices around when you do need them www.tirerack.com.

Are the Threads Showing Yet?

I just replaced the original tires on my '99 with another set of Goodyear F-1's. I drive it pretty conservatively (very few and then small burnouts; fairly high speeds on the highway; ocassional "passing gear" accelerations - even when there are no vehicles to pass; and moderate cornering speeds). I rotated them front to back twice.

Under these conditions, I got almost 27,000 miles. Two of the tires could maybe have gone a couple thousand more but the other two were completly shot.

On the other hand, I have a friend who is on his third set with similar mileage on his '99. It all depends on how you use them up, of course, but I doubt if most drivers could get much more than 24-28,000 miles out of the O.E. Goodyear's.

Everyone must have gotten special tires on your L's when you bought them.
I pulled my original tires off after 8,000 miles having wires showing on all four. LOL
