Pulley
Pulley
For you guys running a pulley set How much time were you able to knock off our 1/8 or 1/4 by installing the pulley set. Just an average would be appreciated, I'm trying to get to a 7.750 in the 1/8, Thats my goal and then I'll be happy.
usahooters,
I have a 2 lb lower, and I noticed a consistent .1 off of my 60 ft times and .2 off of my 1/4 mile times. I do not have my slips with me now, but I would guess a .1 to .2 reduction in your 1/8 miles times. One last thing...a 7.750 in the 1/8 is REALLY moving. You would have to run low 12's/high 11's to get those times.

Just want to know how much to expect
I know my track is goofy with its 600' but its all I have for now. I just wanted to know about how much to expect in gains from a pulley set. Just getting chipped gave me these results regardless of the track length because I ran at the same track for my times.
No Chip
60' 2.035
594' 7.702@78.26mph
1/8 8.277 (computer generated for 1/8 on a 600' track)
Chipped
60' 1.957
594' 7.462@80.46mph
1/8 8.022 (computer generated for 1/8th on a 600' track)
I'm not trying to say I'm faster than you guys I only wanted to see if the expense for the pulley and trouble of putting them on is worth it.

I think the next thing to do after a chip is a 1. JL 4# lower pulley, 2. line valve mod and then 3. slicks. On your track this should get you low/mid 7's.
