Post Leather seats for Lightning

I e-mailed Josh at leatherseats.com and he says they can make two-tone leather seat covers to match factory specs for the L with SVT embroidery for $579 per set. He needs 20 orders to produce the covers. Anyone interested?

Is there any chance we can see a sample of his products, or possibly what this cover would look like? The two-tone sample pic on his page is pretty small, hard to see the detail.

Can he do custom embroidering (spell) on the seat. I wanted to have new seats made allong time ago with my ex's mom being a really good seamstress, but she's gone.

I would like to get some new seats made also, but I think I would like some more color in them if they where going to be custom made anyway.

the basic seats should be the same look, but I would like to have the SVT in red (to match my truck) and Also I think that I would like to have LIGHTNING below the SVT in the same Color.

I was also thinking that it would look cool if we had SVT in red and then have a bolt of lightning behind the SVT in blue. That would be cool too.

We need something thats going to scream out CUSTOM! Thats what I'm all about.

I believe that he can embroider it any way we want as long as we have 20 orders. I have tried to attach a sample of their work, hope it goes through.

Those look pretty nice.

I say we try and get a group buy on them to bring the price down though. You can pratically get brand new sparrco racing seats for what he wants for the covers.

Why cover? Why not just completely reupholster? Costs a little less and you'll have a nicer fit...

I got an e-mail this morning from Eric @ leatherseats.com. He says they "love working with car clubs and forums to develop new products." He welcomes our calls at 1-866-639-7328 Ext 104.

HotRodMan - did you woo him with the highly impressive number of members and amount of participation on this board? Maybe he'll cut us an even better deal.

Question

HotRodMan
Will they look like the stock seats exactly? Also will they have a nice tight fit and not look like seat covers?? I currently have the wet okoles on my truck and they are great, fit tight, dont look like seat covers and i love them but they arent an exact match of the stock seats. I would be interested in these seats covers if they were an exact match of the stock seats let me know thanks. I also attacthed a pic of my seats with the Wet okoles.

i think the term "seat covers" is throwing some people off. The factory "seat covers" come off and the new ones go on, with the same hog rings/velcro (i cant remember which, been a while) that the factory ones use. So its not like they are added over the seats. Its like they are being re-upholstered.

Lariat4x4 is correct. The leather "covers" replace the factory cloth and leather ones. It is actually reupholstering the seats. Properly made they should fit at least as well as the factory covers. The necessary hog rings and supplies are included. I do think that with a large enough group we should be able to negotiate a good price.

Question

HotRodMan
How hard is that gonna be to do? I mean anyone with the Wet Okoles know those were a pain in the *** to get on especially if you have big hands like i do and those were just covers. I think ill pass on messing with ripping out the the stock seat upholstering. Aslo what do you have to ripp out the seats then to put the covers on?

Thumbs up Count me in!!

You take the new upholstery to a TRIM shop and you pay them about $80 and they remove the old (without ruining it) and install the new custom upholstery!!

HELL Yeah! Count me in, as long as we each can choose our colors, logos, piping ect.

Let me know!!

Nick
