Question Who makes the best throttle body with the most power?

My next mod is a throttle body and I was lookin for the one rated for the most power. I have a red 2000 with a lower pulley, a 90mm mass air w/filter, diablo chip, and 410 gears. PS, will I have to have my chip reburned? And the approx price please, Thanks Brothers.................Phatford

There is no throttle body that adds any real significant amount of power, and most of the aftermarket bodies are based off of the Ford Racing one, modified for a lightning linkage.

Well Phooey, since it doesn't help much, I guess I should be thinking about doing something else. Gotta go faster, any ideas?

Talking with Danny Swanson the other day, shed some light on the throttle body debate. What he said made a lot of sense to me.

The single blade throttle body may help make better power down low, where it isn't measured by the dyno. I know some L owners say that the single blade makes better throttla response. If that is the case, then it must be doing something.

I know SpikeEngineering mentioned it really does help on the road course, where you need torque coming off the corners.

Food for thought.

I believe the T.B. Does help.. anytime we can get a little more here and there it adds up @ the end of the O' 1/4! As far as which make the most power i'm sure ther all about the same. we will be having them shortly for a GREAT! price. and they will have the Lightning Logo on them also......JL

Lightbulb anodized

hey JL have you ever thought about anodizing your parts? i would think a red anodized or even blue/black would look awesome under our hoods i know it is more costly but at our expense would we be able to custom order this as a option?

Re: anodized

Hey RDY2RAC:

That seems like a good idea....Hopefully it wouldn't cost to much to special order one, it would give people another option..

Your sig looks cool with the Diablo chip and your truck in it...

take care,
DL

Cool SVT throttle bodys

Mark here (LFP). The throttle body I offer is a SVT/Cobra T/B.
It is made Lightning ready by replacing the linkage cam lever with a Lightning linkage cam lever, reversed tps. Ready to bolt up. My dyno results showed a 6-7 hp.gain at the rear wheels, a crisper throttle response and a slight sucking sound that can be heard during acceleration. If you would like more information please contact me.
