Does anyone know if there is a tail gate handle/ lock that can be tied into the door lock/unlock mechanism.

 

I have one for the tailgate. I also have one on my topper. I like it very much.

 

Can you post details on this. Who makes them etc///

 

You can even get Actuators to open the trunk automatically by the press of teh button!

I found some after market locks but they weren't designed to work with the existing handle, I am going to try and rig a door solenoid in the tailgate, and attache it to the lock mechanism somehow. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Both my father and I have the one made by Pace Edwards. It is called the power gate. It comes complete with instructions, wires, fuse, bracket for the lock. Ihaven't had any problems with it. I did have to grind the bracket to make it fit the lock. I don't have any pics but I could get some to you if you email me in a couple of weeks (truck is in the shop).
