Question Question for Roush suspension kit users

Did your kit come with new rear bumpstops? I've had this ongoing drama with them; and they are telling me it only comes with front bumpstops - but not rears. Was this case with yours?

Thanks in advance,
Edward

not Roush but the Hothckis kit, the rear springs dropped the truck 2" and it didn't need room. As I jumped up and down on the back Shuan@JDM looked under and said that the bumb stops don't come close to touching the axle, like 1/2" or 3/4" away.

Thanks for the response, but I've heard that the Hotchkis setup is stiffer than the Roush. I'm worried about bottoming out on the stock snubbers.

Worst case you can cut down the stockers if it bottoms. Or try Energy suspension or Prothane. I am sure one of the has a universal snubber that would work.

Silver,

Do you know of an online source for these snubbers?

Edward,

I was snubbed at FFW last weekend, but that's a whole different story. Yeah it is.

Hey sixpipes,

I just sent you a personal message about whether your kit came with short bumpstops for the rear. Any comment?

Summitracing.com sells them. I am sure there are others as well. Might be able to buy directly from prothane.com

I've got unshaved original stops. Too lazy to get under the truck and mess with it. I've been thinking about rubbing a little "NADS" on there, but I'm afraid they'de disappear all together. Besides, I never drive fast enough to really bang Go_rila's bottom too hard.

Hey sixpipes,

On a different note, do you ever scrape your front air dam - or anything else - since the drop?

Go_rila has been "beached" on a number of taller than standard curbs and wheel stops. The little woman is especially adept at this procedure and has become quite inventive in locating new and unusual devices to use as a barnacle scrap on Go_rila's lower lip. I'm actually thinking about Rhino lining the lower surface. I, however, usually back into parking spots thereby displaying Go_rila's somewhat unique if not aging full frontal profile.
