Ennis

Thanks to all that helped me out at Ennis. It was my first time at a drag strip. Every body was so helpful. I am bad with names but a special thanks goes to Ivanhoe_farms for offering me his slicks after my poor performance on the F1 tyres. The result a 12.882 @106.25 with a 1.996 60 foot time. Guess I did not heat the tyres up long enough. I am so proud of that time.
Anyway it was great to meet Jim,Julie and the rest of the JDM crew. Felt bad about his truck but he took it well and spent the rest of the time helping the other trucks.
Skank dog it was good to meet you to. Also Silver 2000, Crash, Lightningboy and many others It was a great weekend. Worth the 1500 mile round trip

I love it, except it has 750 miles of bugs splatterd all over it
As I said I am bad with names. Please remind me who you are. I do not mean to offend anybody. I met so many people this weekend. All were cool.
By the way My first two names are JD also.

Highlander -

Great times. It was alot of fun, I wish I didn't have to leave so early. BTW, I am Jeff from KS and was parked next to you...until the pulley, T/B and Chip Reburn.

Thanks to Jim and Sean from JDM; Hello to their significant others and a special thanks to Brian who was there with his wife Battina (sp.) just hanging out on there anniversary. Did I mention they flew in from Virginia for the event? I thought I had come a long way.

Before the event I just had an old program and long tube headers. It was strong at 383 rwhp but that has changed. With the new mods it is a whole different deal. I don't believe in ***-o-meters but there is such a difference it is unreal. Had to put in some 91 Octane on the trip back and it didn't like that crap at all. I'll have to see if good 92 is enough or I'll have to get some 100 octane to mix in. Seemed to be fine with the 93 and the reburn makes so much more power I don't want to pull it back.

Hope to see everyone again.

Hilander, glad to see you made it home alright. It's good to see you pulled off a 12. I told you you would. Now you need to get some slicks and try doing that at your home track . The hood looks really good on your truck too. Now you get to spend a day getting all the bug gunk off .

The bug gunk was horrible driving home to KC. If I remember correctly Highlander was from New Mexico and they don't even have a track close to him.

Hilander, I was the young boy(21) 6'2" with a shaved head and facial hair. I drove the White L with painted wheels and pulled a trailer.
No disrespect to all of you L owners older than me. Everyone else there were probably in their 30's-40's.

I figured you gained about 10hp for every 100 miles you travelled East. If you would have driven on to Atlanta, you would have been pushing 475rwhp.

SIXPIPES,

That sounds like the weight formula where it says, every one pound of dead weight removed is equal to ten pounds of rolling weight.

So if you remove 500 pounds of dead weight and get your truck rolling it will float away, right?

How about if the back end of the truck disappears? This photo was in the Gallop for Gold run on Sunday at Ennis. My 20s burn pretty good.

http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/...um=0&adjust=-1

I cut a .516 light, but the 20s broke loose real bad on the 1-2 shift and only ran a 13.30. Roush is no bueno for traction on street tires.

Highlander - It's got to be the hood.

Great Pic. WYLDMAN got a shot like that and when I asked 1BADTK why he didn't have one of a red truck, he stated his was just to the right of WYLDMANS (out of the picture) making all the smoke.

It's a conspiracy against red trucks.

Going to the 1/4 again tomorrow nite. 12s or die.

Cool

Flats Man just made it back to Tampa. That Sixpipes is truly amazing! I had some flat spots on my tires and it shook just a little on the drive out to Dallas, but after Six did the burn out in my truck on the last run, they are perfectly round and ran smooth all the way back to Florida........how does he do it?
