Personal New Best
Well I just landed back home after the long weekend at Ennis. Loads of fun, lots of broken parts, and many, many new Lightning Owners everywhere.
I was running a new combination along with a PSP custom tuned chip for my setup and ran two (2) 12.19's and a 12.22 while up there. This being on all motor was a big shock to me. I had been expecting to run a 12.3* but never figured in the cold air and low humidity along with some 30.+ BP. All three runs did require letting the truck shift into OD since it was screaming in 3rd at about the 1000 ft mark. Twice I manually shifted into OD and once allowed the truck to shift itself, which turned out to be to early. Both 12.19 runs the truck pulled hard in 4th and is what let me run the mph I did at 108.77, and on the 12.22 run the mph was at 110.72. I lost quite a bit at launch due to the truck shifting into 2nd because of tires spinning and this resulted in the 12.22 run but with a better mph.
Keeping in mind all mods on my truck are currently PSP products with exception of the LFP upper interchangeable pulley.
The one thing I didn't understand while at FFW was when we went into the staging lanes for round one, the officials came to me and said,"Get out of the truck", I looked at them as if they were crazy and he repeated himself. At this point my truck was searched from dash to back window, being questions about my EGT Meter, PSP 4-Way Chip, Electric Fan Switch, Digital Camera, as if they all were some sort of magic tricks. They did not search any other truck, just mine. One of the other racers said it was because I was running so fast without power adders, and that it could be someone wanted my truck checked again after tech. Chuck suggested they were looking for a transbrake or something because of the way I launch so hard. DON'T KNOW but it sure made me feel like I was doing something wrong.
Anyway, I had a GREAT time with all.......... AND I Will Be Back Dennis

In your pictures posted on TALON's site, it not Sixpipes and me but Wyldman and me. That was my second run Saturday and he and I ran together. Two side by side L's running in the low 12's.
ALSO:
I should note I was running at a race weight of 4525 lbs all weekend.

1Bad, how about a run down of your mods? What are you running for wheels and tires? Awesome numbers by the way.

Yeah it was a great weekend. The weather was great after the horrible rain strom we went through on the way to Ennis. Dad pulled off a 12.17 @ 111.5 on the 125 shot weighing in at 5,017Lbs w/ driver. The only thing taken off the truck was the front sway bar. It was really cool to see two Lightnings running side by side to very low 12's. I have the run on video, I just need to get it converted to mpeg. As soon as I do, ill post it.
I also attached a picture of Dad and Andre lineing up for the run.
