13.66@102.77 with a 2.20 60 ft STOCK!
I took my 2001 Lightning to the track yesterday in hopes of
doing better than my 13.79@101.6 with a 2.18 60 ft at 70 Deg.
at Carlsbad Raceway with 2k miles on the odo.
My Lightning does have the so-cal lowering kit but im not sure if thats the problem since Carlsbad tends to be called slipsbad!
On my first pass I ran 13.66@102.77 with a 2.20 60 ft and it was
72 Deg out!
My Lightning does have 7k miles on it now so maybe its running a little stronger
I should have hot laped the truck and learned to launch it but I decided to wait for it to cool off.
Another 2001 stock Lightning was running 13.80s@101 with a 2.0 60 ft by holding the break at 1100 rpm so I figured I only needed one more run to get a new best .
Well guess what I suck because I did a 2.3 60 ft and ran 13.88@103.05
At least that was good for a mph best for me .
Im wondering what the truck would run with 50 deg temps outside and a 1.9 60 ft?
Im planning on doing chip and pulley real soon and wonder if the trucks with chips and pulleys are just as fast no matter if they were a strong running truck to begin with or not?
Im still consurned with Californias 91 octane gas and running a 3-4 psi pulley and chip.
Anyway Im happy and love my Lightning !

Yeah the temp is everything with these trucks. My first time at the track couldn't get anything better than a 14.30, temp was in the upper 90's. The next time I went it was in the lower 80's truck ran 13.8's all night. Im going back soon for some of this 50 degree weather were having. 13.5 to 13.6 should not be out of the question.
Ronnie SVT, nice runs.
The temperature make a big difference. I ran there a month ago with my modded 00' and could only muster a 13.71. It was 86 degrees out.
Traction is definitely a problem ai Carlsbad. Did you run in the right lane or left lane on the 13.66?
I'm going to Irwindle on the 18th to the test and tune. Need to work on my 60' times, and will learning to use the new ET Streets.
It's only a 1/8 mile, but will work on trying to better my launches.l
I'm going to be testing my Truck Traks with the new slicks
RonnieSVT, I added a PSP pulley and had Danny Swanson Dyno tune the truck for me on Friday. I made 384 RWHP and 460 lbs of torque. I made 8 dyno runs and 10-12 blasts around the block before I was satisfied that there was no detonation. With the 91 octane, you have got to be careful with the timing.
The real improvement is in the midrange. I saw an increase of 18 hp from 3600 RPM (where the old test started) to 4800 RPM.
I also saw an increase of 22 lbs of torque from 3600 RPM to about 4400 RPM. This is what will make the truck quicker. You spend more time in the meat of the cuyrve, that you do at the top.
I have a 2001 pulley for sale. email me for info.

Dan, I'll ship the spacers on Tuesday.
I think you will need them. I think 2 1/2" is too much. They should get you down to 1 1/2 or less.
According to the M/T instructions, the Streets work best with a heavy burnout.
I just got a set on Friday, but it will be a couple of weeks before I can test with them.
