Excellent Service
Had to share this with yall...
Getting ready to sell the L. Decided to put new tires on. Day before my tire appointment at the local Lincoln-Mercury dealer where I always get EXCELLENT service, I sart it up and the torque converter starts a grinding sound. I ask them to have a look while its in for tires.
He calls me back. He says the recall came on the intercooler, and they replaced it for me, the front rotors were cracked and they replaced them, the starter teeth were a little chewed up, replaced, and they were going to put in a whole new tranny/converter assembly, so it would take another day. It ended up taking two days, but it was worth it. The only thing I paid for was the tires. I put a line mod valve in the new tranny today to get the shifts back (since my chip was burned for a shift kit), and I'm ready to go now. I've got nearly every mod available for our trucks on mine and it runs 12s. I think the dealer you take the truck to has a lot to do with the level of service and support you get. If you're having trouble, try a Lincoln-Mercury dealer. They're used to catering to their customers.

Plano Lincoln Mercury. If you're in the Dallas area, they're great. WO Bankson used to be the best, but they were bought by Auto Nation and their service went down the tubes. The mechanics and service guys from there went to Plano Lincoln Mercury, and in my opinion, they're now the best in the area.
My truck is now on the Auto Trader online thing, I guess I'll put it in the paper next week.

Yes. They didn't send me anything on it, but I guess they just figured they'd replace all of them when we came in. The dealer said there was a recall. I was on my third one when I took it in.
