Talking Sometimes you gotta do it the old fashioned way

After weeks and many trips to the dealer the service manager walked up and said to the service advisor...after lunch get three techs together and figure out this problem, and i thought great as the service advisor was trying to send me out the door again with the[are diagnostics aren't picking up any codes] nonsense again so we don't know what the problem is. Well the problem has been lack of low end power and after lunch i took the head of service to my truck and made him drive it like he stole it lol. He said there does seem to be a lack of low end power,No s**t i thought. Now put your foot on the brake and push the pedal until the rear end catches, and the boost kicks in.While thats odd he says,it seems to have no power until 1800-1900 rpm and the boost does not start to kick in until 1500rpm and real gradual at that, and again i thought to myself no s**t. And i asked him what he thought the problem was and he replied...tourqe convertor, and once again i thought to myself no s**t. So they ordered me another tourqe convertor and all it took was a little common sense and some hands on testing lol. When i first brought the L in i told them there were no codes and that i thought there was a problem with the tourqe convertor and now after all this hassle i am getting one. D**m this isn't rocket science. I think after all this hassle, that if an aftermarket convertor were to end up in there instead of stock,i might be willing to forget all those wasted trips and launch a little better to boot lol.

Wow haven't heard the rule of 72 since the good old days as an economics major...LOL it actually works pretty well, for those that don't know the secret:

72/(interest rate as a whole number) = # of years that it takes to double your money

Greg,
I hope this convertor solves the low end torque loss you have had for some time now.I think we both need to strengthen our tranny with factory techs mods sold by Sal so we have covered the tranny area.It would be nice to get that competive racing again like we once had before we both had our problems!
