Cool Light weight 18" wheels

I found a source for light weight 18's Kinesis K10 or K18 are what I am looking at. 18X10 Front & 18X11 rear. Offset of your choice. Fronts weigh 18lbs and the rears weigh 19lbs. Now the hard part. Retail price runs $730-$840 each. Need to find a wholesales source now. Plenty of clearence for 15" rotors and 6-piston calipers.

Stock 99-00 wheels are 28lbs each. 01's are slightly more.

With this mod you're guaranteed to loose weight. The wheels drop a few pounds and so does your wallet. The wallet diet guarantees at least .1 ET.

Group buy?

I'm going to give them a call and see how many wheels we'd need to count as a wholesaler/distributor.

Angry Bummer :(

They don't make wheels that will fit our bolt pattern.

Looks like you'll have to look elsewhere....

Coldie,
They will do our bolt pattern. 3-4 weeks to run them after receipt of order. They already quoted me on the K10 and K18 wheels in various widths up to 11.0".

Those look really cool. Imagine dropping 10-12 LBS of rotating weight from each wheel. I know that will make the truck quicker, I just wonder how much it can shave off your 1/4 mile times.

I like running in full trim with street tires, I would love to put a set of the supercar tires on the rear.

Keep us informed
Thanks
Don

Our bolt pattern?

Really? I think I talked to Troy and he was pretty blunt that they wouldn't do it...

Maybe you can call them and see what they could do for 3-4 sets...

Here is what they quoted me:

K-10
18 X 9 $705/EA
18 X 9.5 $720/EA
18 X 10 $730/EA
18 X 10.5 $740/EA
18 X 11 $755/EA

K-18
18 X 9 $815/EA
18 X 9.5 $825/EA
18 X 10 $840/EA
18 X 10.5 $850/EA
18 X 11 $865/EA

They will do what ever back spacing we want. I asked about 18 x 12's and they said no. 11.0 is the widest the would do for our trucks.

I doubt they would do light weight 20's. True high performance rubber in 20" is very rare. For performance and handling a 20" doesn't offer any advantage over the 18's. They look cool but that is about it. There is some very good 19" rubber out there. That might be a good comprimise.
