Add me to the 12sec list!! Thanks JL!!!

WOO HOO! Gateway Raceway was buuuuuusy tonight. It was near perfect weather, a light tailwind, 80deg, low humidity.

Here's the stats from the first run:

R/T ...... .865 (zzZZzzz at the light)
60' ...... 1.927
330 ..... 5.438
1/8 ...... 8.326
MPH .... 84.77
1000 ... 10.847
1/4 ..... 12.979
MPH .... 105.64 (kinda low?)

Got to run a second time, truck was still hot, but managed to turn a 1.876 60' and 13.016 @ 105.06

OH! ...my third run tonight REALLY pi$$ed me off. Doing my burn, I managed to over rev it, and KNEW the boost was going to be cut... so I started prayin like a hunted Bin Ladin that the boost would magically appear once I got up to the line and started off... NOPE! damn that solenoid. I guess I should have disconnected it at some point. Live and learn. Ended up with a PATHETIC 15.7 @ 87! doh!! I was watchin the boost needle sit at about 2lbs the whole run ...and to add insult to injury, all sorts of people were coming up to me before the last run AMAZED by the truck that ran a 12.97 Sure gives ya a big head!

There was a 2001 Z06 there that had a bogged launch and ran 13.5 @ 108. There was also a new BMW M5 that ran 13.45 @ 108.

All in all a very good night! Thanx Johnny Lightning! I'll be ringin ya shortly for more goodies!!

Max:

Great numbers--I'm envious. My dump solenoid has been disconnected for 8,000 miles(dyno & 1/4 mile passes, daily driver)--nooo problems.

hmmm

I've been thinking of doing the same and leaving it off... Other than the "saftey" factor, is there really any other use for it?!?

I don't want that embarrasment ever again

Disconnecting it electrically will set a soft code in the computer. It will not turn on your check engine light but it will store a code that any Ford tech can see.

I bought a boost bypass kit from a freind of mine and it bypasses it without electrically disconnecting it. I think he sells alot of them, and when I was at Cecil, there was a few people putting them on their trucks. It does it by changing the vacumm signal and adding a T and a elbow and a plug at certain locations in the vacumm harness....... email me and I will hook you up with my freinds info....... Jason

Hey

The big city of St. Leonard?? We're darn near neighbors! I live in CRE(puke)! We should get together some time and shoot the kaka or hit Pr Frederick at the same time one weekend to check out the rods.
