Does K&N make an oil filter for the L? if so where do i get it? What kind of filter are you running?

 

Yes, K&N does make an oil filter for our L's. I am not sure of the part #. Advance Auto Parts has them and can cross reference from the Motorcraft #. I run the Motorcraft.

 

K&N # 33-2140-1 for the 01.I used a 33-2140 and trimmed it with an exacto knife.The 33-2140 was a little cheaper.

Be aware that the oil on the filter will screw your MAF.You will have an irratic idle at times.You will need to clean it with a contact cleaner or electronic cleaner and blow it clean.Do not use anything in contact with it to clean it.Q-Tips and such will leave minute debris on the wire.
