I have been intouch with Ultima for a few weeks now and I'm really considering purchasing a new Ultima GTR. These cars are awsome!!! The are very light and aerodinamic car with a Corvette engine and Porsche trans. Stock they go 0-60 in 3.3 and run the 1/4 in about 11.75. It is capable of speeds of over 220. Some refer to it as the fastest production car in the world, but stock it is just a hair slower than the Mcclaren F1. No worry though, because with a LS1 engine, you can have this thing running 10's in no time. The handling on the little beast is suppositly as good as it gets and its looks are breath taking. If you can swing it, do it. That would be sweet with a blown 351 under the hood Too bad you couldnt put the big block crate Ford engine with 600 H.p. under its' hood.

 

Big money money for a "kit" car. Over $100k without an engine? Looks like it would be fun. I would want a much more substantial cage beofre I ever approached 200mph. They seem to dance aroud the "street legal" part. "The body is wind tunnel tested to 220 mph". What about the rest of the car. Not trying to diss your hot rod, but they seem to be very creative in their wording. Look before you leap. If you go for it I hope it is everything you expected. Have fun.

 

You can get a kit and build it your self for around 30k with our the engine or trans. If you want to look at 40-45k to build it, I would say that its well worth it. Afew upgrades and you will have a 10 sec car that looks awsome, gets 25 miles to the gallon and can be driven to work every day!! I would just like to smoke the hell out of those little crotch rockets!! !!
