I just went to truckperformance.com and read that the bassani cat-back increases power 10-15hp and the borla cat-back increases power 15hp. Is there any truth to this? I would like to know if there is any hp gains from either system. Thanks in advance for any clarification.

i read a previous post about an exhaust thing on L's. the person said they talked to the person that designed the stock exhaust and its pretty much tweeked out already. ive read somethings also on bassani for the L, that it descreases horsepower by 2 -3 hp but it gives you a hell of a sound, alot of people are going for the magna flow muffler, doenst lose power, maybe gain a tiny tiny tiny bit, but gives you a meaner sound, i havent heard about borla, im sure its the same though thing as bassani, gives you more sound but a loss in power or no gain

 

I don't have either(stock) but according to many earlier(mild jab) posts, andrew got it about right.

I got the Bassani Cat Back system on my truck and i didnt feel any loses of power. When i put it on actully felt like i gained some. All i know is that the sound is awesome and you will love it. The tips are stainless so they shine and they are 4 inches now and make the stock ones look like toothpicks. Maybe you lose some HP when you just bolt up the system to a stock truck but i guess with my other mods it more then makes up for it. The sound alone makes up for it still on of my favorite mods that i have done.

Ditch the borla Idea and get the bassani. Its just awesome.

I love the way the bassani sounds and everybody else loves it too.

 

Want power, stay with the stock system, and maybe a new MAGNAFLOW. Want the best possible sound, go with BASSANI....there is no sound better, especially catless on the bottle IMO
