Does the new IC make more HP?

The aluminum plate / casting that holds the intercooler in place gets changed in the recall. Has anyone looked at the differances of the Stock 2000 / Recall 2000 / Stock 2001 castings and intercooler and the HP differances.

PS At 14000 miles my intercooler had had only a few slivers of garbage on it and very little oil build up. I wonder if it is time to move the pcv.

The "fix" intercooler replacement for the 99-00 has a larger surface area, flows more air and therefore will make more horse power. Works better on mine. Assjet 505 confirmed.

I'm getting mine done this week sometime, So I try and see if there's anyreal difference in the ***-o-meter. I would think so with what Noel said.

Concur with Noel. Put mine back in bone stock mode prior to taking it in for I/C replacement. According to the stock gauge it'd pull 8 lbs of boost. After the new I/C, but still in bone stock mode, the gauge read over 10 lbs (guesstimate 11 lbs) of boost. Assjet 248 confirmed.
