Another question... pulley

When I began modifying my truck, one of the most obvious things came to mind... a smaller blower pulley. However, after consulting with the guys at Outlaw Performance in WY (www.outlawperformance.com), I decided not to add a pulley. They personally called Johnny Lightning and said he recommended I not put the smaller pulley on it because the stock blower can't take any more boost safely. Is this true? I would love to run more boost (I have a 30 psi boost guage, I'd like to use it! ), but because this is my daily driver and funds are somewhat limited for a while, I would like to keep the blower intact if possible. Thanks!

Adam

Johnny runs an upper pulley and lower pulley. I run an upper and lower pulley. Lots of people run both pullies. I don't think he would run both pullies if he thought he was going to blow up his truck.
Have you spoken to Johnny? www.johnnylightningperf.com

Before you wait another minute, pick up the phone and order a JL 3# lower pulley. You'll love the torque, but your tires will hate you.

Adam,

The people you spoke too have no idea what they are talking about. If your looking for the best possible information for these trucks, you came to the right place.

Now dont let the few with the ever popular "know nothing, tell all" attitude discourage you from adding a pulley. Go for it, I have had one on my truck since way back in 99, and never a problem.
