I have a 2001 lightning that I bought within the past few months. I noticed while using the remote to pick the truck that horn quit working. The fuse was fine but I changed the relay and the horn worked perfectly. Drove the truck a couple days later and when using the remote again the horn quit working again. Is there a chance that I just got a “bad relay” from autozone? Has anyone ever had this problem?

 

Possibly, but quite unlikely.

I would check the relay using a DMM on continuity and a 12v power source for switching the contacts.

If the relay works, then you have other issues.
