Well, you sure haven't narrowed it down much, have you? I have a silver because it is easy to keep clean, and it doesn't look like a plumber's truck. Black is too labor intensive, and red is too gendarme attractive. JMO.

Whatever color you get you might as well be happy, or do like I did-ask your wife's opinion. She thought I should get black. I was thinking red or white. So I got black and I love it. So sinister looking BUT a lot of work so I just b$#%@ at her for telling me to get black. I can tell you from my experience- whatever one you get only makes you wish you had one of the others. They all have +s and they all look good. Black is faster-scientifically proven. Less resistant to photon absorption.

Cool

White. The rarest 2001 and also the fastest.

For what's it worth. I bought a 99 Lightning and black was the ONLY choice. A black vehicle is by far the BEST looking vehicle when clean. It took me all of 6 months to realize that it was to much upkeep for me! For somebody else, maybe no problem. I traded the 99 for a Silver 01 and it is S O M U C H E A S I E R to up keep. And to top it off , I was complemented on my truck when it was dirty

I know exactly what you are talking about. Same thing when i went to go get my truck All American had a red 99 with 19,000 miles on it and a brand new black 00 with 10 miles on it they wanted $27,000 and change for the 99. So for only a few grand more i went inside and got the 00 with 10 miles on it and it was sitting inside in the showroom to. Like you say black is alot to maintain but well worth it when it is clean. I find myself waxing her almost every week hehe. But what really pisses me off is after you get done cleaning black then 10 mins later you can see the dust all over her that you cant see on other colors but is there. Also damn surface scratches on black suck.

My thought/decision process:

Red: Ticket magnet. I had a red Camaro SS. Trust me. I know.

Black: Labor intensive. I'd rather drive than clean.

White: Looks like a refrigerator on wheels.

Silver: It was a no brainer. Quite happy with my choice.

My wife already had a white Expy, so black was my only choice.
(5) months later, no regrets. The only other color I would consider
would be a dark charcoal, but of course it's not available.

Wink

Sure, red attracts a lot of unwanted attention, BUT it also attracts positive attention. I wouldn'thave bought one in the first place if I wanted to 'blend in'. There's plenty of mini-vans and Camrys out there for that

Black is classy when clean, and also the fastest

........but, my next one will be Silver. Black does need way too much attention to look that good.

Black is great, but then again we don't get much rain here, so it's fairly easy to keep clean, just a wipedown with the CA Car Duster mostly, and the occasional kidprint that needs cleaning . If I lived in a less desert-like climate, I'd have to go with the silver.

Cool, the Borg have assimilated Lightning technology. Picard better beef up his Warp Drive.

The worlds best cars are RED.Just ask Fararri, porsche,Alfa Romeo and any Chevelle and Viper owners. In the words of Jackie Stewart " Red is synonamous with the great motorcars of the world".But just like anybody else, when you pull up to a light and your next to your second color choice..the same thing comes to mind....
