Fixed 2nd Gear Shutdown!
First things first, JL Rules!
He called me right up once I sent him an Email. Hell of a guy! We discussed the process of installing the chip over again I did every step he said, but then it hit me "did I really get all the silicone off really, really well?" JL told me to take it back out and look the PCU over again to make sure each connecting strip was shiny and the chip clamped to it well. Sure enough I took out a magnifine glass and went over each side of the chip. I proceeded to scrub (not hard) each silver strip in a up and down motion cleaning them thorougly as if I was waxing my truck. Each of the strips were bright and clean. JL told me to slide the chip on and off 4 to 5 times to clear any excess goo. I did that also. Then took the chip back off and put two coats of 70% rubbing alcohol on the connectors then on the chip as well. Waited till dry. put it back in the Truck and proceeded for the test drive! OMG! WTF! Was this even the same trucK!? The truck screamed to life once I hit WOT, this time it didnt shut down. It threw itself into second chirping the back tires hard. Such a nice sound. Thanks to everyone who helped me out with the post! And thanks to JL for making my truck the monster it is!

Not clean contacts is probably the number 1 problem with chips
I know I had problems myself with my 99, so I was extra careful with my new one. And guess what-----no problems and the truck fired right up

Sam,
I wish I could get out there next weekend to see how your truck really runs, but unfortunately I'll be out of town that weekend. Just make sure you go EARLY and get your runs done by noon... you'll get some killer traction if you can be one of the first 100 cars in line (read: get there before 6:30am) Good luck!
