Unhappy Help!

I need some emotional support. My poor beastie desperately needs to go to warranty repair work now but I am SOOOOOOO paranoid about bringing to a dealer to get fixed!

Between stolen stereos, bad dealer treatment, scratches, incompentent service managers and more, I am pretty mortified at the though of leaving it there!

I need a new intercooler, my crusie control lights fixed, the door crack fixed, and the driver-side seat fix.

Do any Garden Staters know of a dealer they had a good service experience with?

Scared,
Daniel

I recommend you have a chat with the Service manager first. If you express your concerns with him in advance your truck might get a little more attention. It works for me.

For several years now I have taken my Fords to the local Lincoln Merc dealer for service. They have always treated me as if I had a Towncar ( I have had Mustangs and F-150’s). They meet you at the Car when you arrive and when they see you coming into the casher’s office they go and get the vehicle and bring it to the service desk area. Open the door for you and away you go.
I had my L worked on for the Clunk and they even parked it in the spot reserved for the owner of the business next to the service desk so no one would paw it… Maybe it is just this town, but the service bay at the Lincoln Merc dealer is a 100 times cleaner than the cleanest Ford dealer. And we got some that I wouldn’t walk through.

Just my .02

David

Question

Fast Gator
I got my 00 from all american and was wondering if you ever brought the truck in with mods and are they a mod friendly dealer? I still gotta bring my truck in for the recall on the wiper motor. My buddie got his 99 white at wayne ford and just recently got his 01 there which he had to take in for the recall on the seatbelt. Well it turns out when he called the service department at wayne that it was one of his old friends. So when he brought his truck in i told him to ask him if they would work on my truck with the mods and keep quiet about them. So the guy said no problem so im probably gonna take it to wayne but all americna was closer and where i got the truck from. So Bruce i was just wondering if they ever said anything about mods you had on your 99, 01 or if they are *****s when it comes to the mods??
Thanks
Vin

Vin- they knew all about my 99 BUT never had any major warranty work done on it. I have had my 01 in for a new mag and a couple fog lamps with the JL ram air kit on it. BUT I will pull the chip before it goes back for anything, the pulley is another story. Why take a chance. So to answer your question; I don't know. I was just recommending them to Dan, cause he's a stocker
