Cool 1st Win in L!

Went to firebird race track in Phoenix last friday and competed in the trophy class. My lightning had been running very consistentley all night so i thought i would give it a shot. I had a dial in of 14.2 in my first run and ran a 14.212, that got me a bye into the next round, my next race i dialed in a 14.25 and ran a 14.26. In the finals, I dialed in a 14.25 again and ran a 14.28. I was happy for myself because this is the first time I ran for something other than for fun. I was nervous at first, but got relaxed towards the end. All in all, i thought that the L performed pretty good being stock.

Good job. You did better than me. I only competed once and didn't do too well. I had a reaction time of about 1.3 seconds, and lost to another pickup truck that ran over 18.0 seconds. I dialed in at 14.0 I've done several test and tune nights, but it's different when you are running to win. Half the battle is keeping your composure. Tom

Pretty cool 00white_lightning00. What was the temp like down there when you went. last time we met up with Peter b and it was pretty hot. The temp was like 99 degrees. we didn't go to the track cause we had no time.
We are also located in ALBQ. I wish they would suck it up and open our track. There are about 10 Lightnings that could all get together if it opened.

It was about 100 degrees with about 40% humidity. I was getting good reaction times off the line. Anywhere between .75 to .55 with 60' times in the 2.089 to 2.1s on stock F1s. It was hard having to wait until my lights would go off, especially when it seemed like I would never catch up to the competition. That made me a bit nervous and anchious to take off. Luckily I never redlighted.

Those are really good r/ts. There having a test and tune in Ennis Texas. It's being held by JDM and there going to the track also. We are going out there for the test & tune. We have not yet ran our truck at any tracks. hopefully we will get a good launch. Do you think you will be out there or not.

Probably not because Texas eventhough it is my home state is a little to far for me right now. I am supposed to be living in Rio Rancho NM, but the company I work for moved me to Phoenix for a good six months. I figure might as well take advantage of the situation while im here since Alb's track has been closed down.

Anyway, if you do go good luck and be shure to post some times of all of us to read.

Laters,
