On your pulley situation here is an idea. Try to find a bolt that fits and screw it in from the front side repeatedly. Maybe it will clean up the backside threads. If it will then screw in from the backside maybe it will work. Make sure you have all of the locktite cleaned off of the spindle. Good Luck.
