I just read your post on svtperformance and I agree with a lot of what you said but the point most people were trying to make is they are tired of the bashing. I don't care which tuner or vendor you are using when you name call and get downright nasty it just isn't right. The is no justification for it PERIOD. It's one thing to state your opinion like [I received bad service or I didn't like their product] but calling people thieves, liars, etc is WRONG. I just think you need to clamp down on this kind of behavior. Don't let the few ruin it for the many.
Noel does like to be the Buford Pusser of the search police but he means well. He's one fellow that you can disagree with and he'll keep it out of the gutter. His wife is sick and he has every right to be cranky.
As far as JJ goes we all saw it unfold. He made his own bed. I think the majority of us would agree.

I felt I needed to reply with my position. It may not be the right position but it is mine.
Take a wider look at the forum. Imagine the BS that I have to go thru when I close a thread or heaven forbid ban someone for repeated violations of clearly defined rules. The last thing I want to do is start making questionable calls.
I cannot and will not try to control bashing or lies. How can I ? To know something is a lie suggests that I am involved in the process and know the truth. Is it my truth or yours ? In many cases I am reading the stories for the first time. I have no way of knowing for sure who is BS'ing who. We dont need this to become Dougs version or Steves version of the F150 universe. That is why we let things go till the sort themselves out or until they degrade to attacks. You guys generally do a pretty good job of flushingout the BS on your own
If it is clearly bashing for bashing sake then I will be happy to close it. But the JDM camp is pissed at me for closing JDM threads and their argument is I should close more threads ? How would that help ? Oh wait just close the ones that disagree with them.. got it.... LOL
In summary I do the best I can based on what I see, what I know and the emails I get. If you think something is going foul send me an email with a URL and the specifics. I will be happy to take a look. For all the complining that goes on here about how this forum has degraded into bashing, I get an average of less than 3 or 4 emails a week with help or feedback. Considering the volume of posts here that is VERY small.
About 14 months ago it was Sal who was getting trashed daily on the boards. This stuff goes in cycles.
As I said before - You guys generally do a pretty good job of flushing out the BS on your own... If things are getting out of hand drop me a line - I will take a look...
This is OUR forum - I am one of you - Help me improve it.
Chuck suggestions like yours are a good start in helping.

I see your point. The more you step in then the more you get criticized. I was just hoping when it gets to the name calling you would just step in and tell them to keep it out of the gutter. They tend to listen to the moderator more but you would probably get blasted for it. I don't envy the position you're in.
I remember the Sal bashing well. He explained that he was moving and didn't have access to his stuff. The majority were understanding but for some it was not good enough. Probably some that were bashing him are saying he's best thing since sliced bread now.
My point is it wasn't right then and it's not right now. I just wish people would think before they type. Everybody's an invisible face so some people think it's ok to say anything they want. I'm surprised that somebody hasn't received a fat lip at one of these track events. I quess that's next if this doesn't calm down. I can't say that a few don't deserve it.
