I was talking to the dealer yesterday while wait for the paper work to go through on the silver 01, and i don't know if he was speaking out of his A$$ but he was saying the SVT is planning to cut the number of vehicles made each year in half. has anyone else heard this.


i couldn't get the silver bolt yesterday, because the "salesperson" told me i got approved for the loan ( i didn't)!! but they had a 99 black in stock that i did get approved for.

Haven't heard anything about cutting the numbers but they sure had a lot of '01's sitting in the lots for a long time when they bumped production up to 7500.

 

Well, if my local SVT Dealer is any indication, I would say Lightning sales are slow to non-existing. This dealer has seven or eight trucks on his lots, some for a long time.

I have to double-check this, but I think a large transporter removed two of their L's today to destination unknown. This has got me curious as to what happened.

 

The economy fell on its a$$.

 

Theres a dealer i drive by everyday on my way to work that has had 2 01 silver lightnings sitting there for a few months. My friend also told me of a dealer he drive by all the time and they had 2 one red and one black sitting there for a while. Not only is the economy bad now to but you gotta remeber to that winter is right around the corner and unless they got a beater and a place to store the lightning dont think anyone would be gettting one as their man form or transportation.
